A charming original copperplate etching on handmade ivory artist’s card with untrimmed edges (card size 145 x 190mm; image size 110 x 150mm) depicting an anthropomorphic tree with human features and branches as arms holding an open book and quill pen, with inkwell balanced on a twig, and a striped cat curled asleep at its base, beautifully handcoloured by the artist, with “Colour Proof” in the artist’s hand, and the artist’s signature, both in pencil, to the lower margin; in fine condition.
