A charming original copperplate etching on handmade grey laid artist’s stock, with untrimmed edges (card size circa 220 x 160, total image size circa 174 x 102mm) depicting a dragonfly with two clock faces neatly camouflaged in the wings, beautifully handcoloured by the artist in blues, red and brown including delicate tracery heightened in gold, with “Colour Proof” in the artist’s hand, the title “Time Flies”. and the artist’s signature, all in pencil, to the lower margin; in fine condition; a very scarce and early etching in the artist’s output.
