A charming original copperplate etching on handmade ivory artist’s card with untrimmed edges (card size circa 250 x 192, total image size circa 150 x 55mm) depicting three phases of a Polynesian moon, each above a tropical island landscape, presented as a triptych, beautifully handcoloured by the artist, with “Colour Proof” in the artist’s hand, and the artist’s signature, both in pencil, to the lower margin; in fine condition; very scarce.

First printing. An original etching from Van Sandwyk’s book “Days Are A Dream”. This is an Artist’s Proof of an etching which was originally published in a limited edition of just 30 copies.
