Small 4to.; publisher’s dark blue pictorial cloth blocked with an intricate design in green, red, black and white to spine and upper board, top edges blue, double-page pictorial map of the Land of Nursery Rhymes in green; with pictorial title-page panelled in red and black, 8 highly patterned coloured plates by Folkard together with a plethora of black and white illustrations, to almost every page, all influenced by Art Deco and heightened with a range of colours; a very good copy with cloth dye narrowly rubbed from edges, joints and corners and a very small knock to bottom forecorner of lower cover; internally fine throughout without ownership marks or inscriptions; scarce in first printing.
