Original grass green cloth elaborately and decoratively gilt to spine and upper cover, top edges gilt, double-page pictorial endpapers; pp. [xiv] + 181, including index; with pictorial title-page on coated paper and 12 delicately coloured plates by Honor C. Appleton, with captioned guards, together with line drawings throughout; a bright, fresh and attractive copy with bruising, but no splitting, to spine ends and mild dulling to spine gilt; internally generally very clean indeed, with some toning and spotting to endpapers and half-title, and cracking to lower inner hinge, now nearly invisibly made good; rather scarce.
