Early edition, first published in 1887.  A charming collection of short prose pieces aimed at both children and adults, by the Nobel Prize-winning French writer Anatole France (1844-1924).  They are observational vignettes depicting the everyday life of a late-nineteenth century French child in both urban and rural settings while exploring themes of innocence, family bonds and the passing of time.
