4to.; original navy blue cloth-backed pictorial boards, spine lettered in dark blue; pp. [iv], 5-87; pictorial title lettered in blue and black, pictorial banner headings, other line drawings and full-page illustrations in black and white together with 8 full page coloured plates; externally near fine, with none of the commonly found rubbing or corner wear, internally also very good and sound, without ownership inscription, with spotting to edges of book block, pale foxing to endpapers and occasionally within, sporadically affecting text pages, but not offensively, all plates fine and clean.

First edition, without reference to George Harrap being a limited company, which it became in 1918.
