A charming original copperplate etching, printed in sepia on laid ivory-coloured artist’s stock, with untrimmed edges (stock size circa 109 x 155mm, image size circa 65 x 88mm) depicting a wise old owl, face forward, sitting on the branch of a tree, with one eye a-peep and one claw clutching a trapped spider; with “A.P.” (Artist’s Proof) in the artist’s hand and the artist’s signature, both in pencil, to the lower margin; in fine condition.
